Theresa Stryk, certified nurse midwife

Theresa Stryk, MSN, APRN, CNM

Theresa joins the WholeLife Authentic Care team as our Certified Nurse Midwife. She is from St. Louis, MO and made the move to Texas to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Dallas. Theresa then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. After spending time as a labor and delivery nurse at Parkland Hospital, Theresa pursued her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. Shortly after completion, Theresa passed the American Midwifery Certification Board examination to qualify as a Certified Nurse Midwife.

As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Theresa’s training is similar to an OBGYN, and the standards of care are nearly identical. Midwives do not do operative deliveries or C-sections, but can be part of the prenatal care for those patients.

In August of 2021, Theresa started her pursuit of becoming a Creighton Model Medical Consultant by enrolling in the training program through The Pope Paul VI Institute. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being involved in sports, especially volleyball.

“I knew from the beginning that WholeLife provided something special to the community. I am just so honored that I now get the opportunity as a provider to work individually with patients by educating, providing care, and empowering patients as they reach their health and reproductive goals.” - Theresa Stryk
